James Waddell has worked with some of the music’s heavyweights from Country Legends such as Dolly Parton, Pop Greats such as Beyonce, Ariana Grande, Soul & R&B Legends, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Kahn and Mary J Blige, Gospel stars such as Kirk Franklin and Blues men Robert Randolph and Jonny Lang. His work has been awarded twice by The Recording Academy’s coveted Grammy Award (2010’s Traditional Gospel Album of the Year and 2011’s Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year) and he’s a multi-Grammy nominee. He is the go-to guy for many sessions but his talent doesn’t stop there. He is also known to write a mean hook and his arrangements are flawless. His approach to producing, engineering, writing and arranging are akin to painting, music his canvas, each note a different color.
